Tom Murphy
Tom is a highly accomplished attorney and Partner at Dickenson, Murphy, Rex & Sloan in Boca Raton, Florida. With over five decades of legal experience, he specializes in Corporate Transactions and Litigation, along with Civil Trial Law. His legal career began in 1971 when he was admitted to the Florida Bar. He later gained admission to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1977, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit in 1985.
He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia and completed his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (B.S.F.S.) with honors.
Tom is also is an active member of various legal organizations, including the Palm Beach County Bar Association and several sections of The Florida Bar. His commitment extends beyond the legal field, as he has served as President and Director of the Community Child Care Center and contributed to its Operating and Foundation Board in Delray Beach, FL.
As a U.S. Navy Reserve Lieutenant (LTJG) from 1965 to 1968, Tom received the Navy Unit Commendation for his dedicated service. He is also an Associate Member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at the University of Virginia School of Law and an active member of the Georgetown University Alumni Admissions Committee.
